New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis will spend another summer wearing the red, white and blue of the U.S. National Team when he travels to Las Vegas to participate in Team USA’s minicamp in July.
The Pelicans’ forward headlines a group of 27 players to accept invitations to the minicamp. Davis is the only member of the 2012 gold-medal team committed to the program.
Davis averaged 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game as the youngest member of Team USA in last year’s London Olympics.
Davis will be joined by New Orleans teammates Ryan Anderson and newly acquired Jrue Holiday in Las Vegas, as well as Pelicans coach Monty Williams, who is signed on as an assistant coach to Mike Krzyzewski.
