The final U.S. roster for this month’s Nike Global Challenge was released Tuesday, and the event will include several Kentucky recruits. The tournament is made up of four American squads and teams from Africa, France, Brazil and Canada. It will be played July 18-20 in Washington, D.C.
UK targets from the class of 2014 who will play for U.S. teams include Stanley Johnson, Emmanuel Mudiay, Cliff Alexander, Tyus Jones, Rashad Vaughn, Jahlil Okafor, Devin Booker and Angel Delgado. All of those players except for Delgado have scholarship offers from Kentucky.
Trey Lyles is the only 2014 prospect with a UK offer who was not included on one of the U.S. teams. He played for Canada last year and will likely do that again this time. Lyles played for the Canadian under-19 team at the world championships in Europe last week.
