The University of Kentucky has made a scholarship offer to high-flying Philadelphia-area wing Derrick Jones of the 2015 class, according to a report on Philly.com. Jones, a 6-foot-6 player ranked as the nation's No. 11 prospect in 2015, according to Rivals.com, is participating in this week's Reebok Breakout Classic in Philadelphia. UK's John Calipari was among the coaches in attendance on Wednesday night – the start of the first of three five-day live evaluation periods this month. Kentucky targets Emmanuel Mudiay and Stanley Johnson were other players Calipari watched in Philly.
Assuming Jones' offer is on the table, he joins centers Stephen Zimmerman and Skal Labissierie and guards Malik Newman and Charles Matthews and the only 2015 prospects with a UK offer.
