The New Orleans Pelicans announced yesterday that Darius Miller suffered a stress fracture in his left foot. Team doctors discovered the injury after Miller experienced discomfort recently. Dr. Richard Ferkel of Southern California Orthopedic Institute surgically repaired the stress fracture. Miller will return to New Orleans on September 10, 2013 to begin the rehabilitation process. He is expected to miss 8-12 weeks.
Miller, a second-year small forward from Kentucky, appeared in 52 games as a rookie for the Pelicans last season. Miller, 23, averaged 2.3 points and 0.8 assists last season.
