Video: Kentucky Wildcats deliver meals, play kickball with the kids

Participating in UK Athletics’ annual Backpack Program with God’s Pantry, the Kentucky basketball players packed meals Monday and delivered them to three different Lexington elementary schools (Picadome, Cassidy and Landsdowne). The program is targeted at alleviating childhood hunger.

Every team and every department at UK will pack and deliver lunches. At the end of the athletics season, UK will deliver approximately 5,100 bags.

While at Picadome Elementary School on Monday, Andrew and Aaron Harrison, Marcus Lee, Dakari Johnson and Jon Hood played kickball with the students in their school gymnasium. After the game, which featured a number of hilarious moments, Hood spoke to the students about the importance of hard work and having fun.  Marcus Lee led them in a C-A-T-S chant.
