Anthony Davis puts everything on display in 29 point performance

After three preseason games, it’s clearly obvious  forward is not the same caliber of player he was last season as a rookie.

He’s better – much better – after spending nearly all of the off-season working to improve his offensive game. He’s got a go-to jump hook shot now, can pull-up from 18 feet and effortlessly make jumpers and still soars for dunks when he has an open lane to the basket.

He put everything on display Wednesday night and carried the Pelicans to a 99-95 victory against the that improved their record to 3-0 in the preseason.

Davis, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 draft, finished with a game high 29 points on nine-of-20 shooting in front 9,274 at the Veterans Memorial Arena
