76ers rookie Nerlens Noel said “there’s a possibility” he could play this season.

In an interview Monday with “Off The Dribble,” an radio show hosted by Jason Goff and Sam Mitchell for SiriusXM Radio, Noel said no decision between he and the Sixers has been made regarding his availability to play at some point this season.

Noel has been viewed as a long shot to play while rehabbing the torn ACL in his left knee that he incurred in February as a freshman at Kentucky. Sixers coach Brett Brown has said that he looks upon this season as an opportunity to reconstruct the mechanics on Noel’s shot. Noel participating in one-handed shooting drills, with Brown and assistant coach Greg Foster serving as his instructors and rebounders, is a common occurrence after practices and before games.

As for missing the whole season, however, Noel said “that hasn’t been really said.”
