The basketball looked busy.
When No. 14 Kentucky had it on Wednesday in the second half of an 85-63 win against Mississippi State, the ball had places to be. It couldn’t stand to stay put. It moved from man to man, from side to side.
It flew around, in fact, the way it has in the Wildcats’ recent practices.
“Sometimes in practice, we pass it five or six times before we even shoot, and it’s just carrying over into games,” said freshman James Young, who put the ball through the rim and into the hands of teammates, finishing with 26 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
