Although the Wildcats (14-4, 4-1) have rebounded with a two-game winning streak since an 87-85 overtime loss at Arkansas on Jan. 14, Calipari insists his team hasn’t turned the proverbial corner and has zeroed in on getting better “as a team.”
“That’s what we’ve been working on the last two days,” he said Friday. “There’s something that is going to get us to make this big jump. It’s not individual performances going up enormously, it’s our team play, both on defense and offense really elevating. That’s what is going to get us to where we need to go.”
Calipari added that other teams have the edge on his team in terms of experience and team play. Georgia is one of those teams and is one of the most surprising teams in the Southeastern Conference.
