Kentucky has added a marquee event to the 2014-15 schedule.
UK will participate in the inaugural CBS Sports Classic for the next three years along with North Carolina, Ohio State and UCLA.
The event, which will pit four of the winningest programs in college basketball history against one another, will rotate though the cities of Chicago (2014), Brooklyn (2015) and Las Vegas (2016). UK will play UCLA on Dec. 20 at 3:30 p.m. ET in the United Center – following the North Carolina-Ohio State game at 1 p.m. ET — in the inaugural year of the series.
Each team will play each other in an annual round-robin format. Kentucky will play Ohio State the following season in Brooklyn on Dec. 19, 2015, and then match up with North Carolina in the third year of the event on Dec. 17, 2016 in Las Vegas.
CBS will televise all six games of the three-year event.
