University of Kentucky coach John Calipari wants to keep details “under the hat,” but on an ESPN podcast Monday he did confirm the Wildcats will take a foreign tour this summer in the Bahamas.
Caliapari said UK will play six national teams, many of which contain current NBA players, this August. In conjunction with the trip — Division I teams are allowed to take them once every four years — the Wildcats will get 10 extra practices.
“We are going to practice, get something out of it, but we’re going against national teams we should not beat,” he said. “We should go 0-6.”
The rest Calipari is getting “squared away” before announcing a schedule.
