CatsIllustrated.com is reporting: “Kentucky is expected to hire former Auburn head coach Tony Barbee in an administrative position, likely the spot vacated by Rod Strickland.
Multiple sources on Thursday confirmed discussions between Barbee and UK. The hire could be announced as early as Friday, a source said.
Barbee played at Massachusetts and coached at Memphis under UK head coach John Calipari. He had head-coaching stints at UTEP and most recently at Auburn, where he went 49-75 in four seasons.”
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter's Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
