The annual Kentucky-Louisville rivalry has been scheduled for a 2 p.m. ET tip on Dec. 27 in Louisville's Yum! Center and will air on ESPN2.
This year's event is being hailed as the Basketball Hall of Fame Shootout with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the non-profit Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
UK leads the all-time series against Louisville 32-15, including a pair of wins in the 2013-14 season. The Wildcats defeated the Cardinals 73-66 in Rupp Arena during the regular season and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament following a 74-69 win over UofL in Indianapolis.
Kentucky has won six of its last seven meetings with Louisville.
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter's Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
