As December continues and the non-conference stretch of games draws nearer to a close, the Kentucky Wildcats have learned that energy is the key to winning games.
“The biggest thing for us is we just have to come out with energy,” said the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the week, Karl-Anthony Towns, on Tuesday. It's not even about focus. I'm never worried about us with focus. We always want to go out there and play the best we can. It's just about energy.”
UK had no problem bringing the energy against Eastern Kentucky after a marquee win over then No. 6/7 Texas. But, the Cats can't fall asleep on the Lions of Columbia.
Columbia is coming off a 23-point win over Bucknell, and is sitting with a 5-2 record. The two games the Lions lost were by a total of three points.
