Devin Booker faces a team all too familiar with his family

Tuesday night the No. 1 Wildcats welcome the Tigers into after a crazy double-overtime game against A&M in College Station.

A new Southeastern Conference foe brings in new challenges and new faces for ’s four freshmen, all except for Devin Booker.

The shooting guard is all too familiar with the Tigers, especially since his namesake covers the record book.

“His father was one of the best players to ever play at Missouri,” said associate head coach Kenny Payne, filling in for Coach Cal in the pregame presser. “Devin has spent a lot of time up there. This will be a rivalry game for him.”

Melvin Booker is a hall of famer for the Tigers, playing on a Mizzou team that went 14-0 in the Big Eight Conference and made it all the way to the Elite Eight in 1994.

Will this game have a bit more significance for the Wildcat? Teammate Karl-Anthony Towns thinks so.
