Jodie Meeks connected on a last minute three to give Pistons a four point cushion that'd ultimately hold, completing another Detroit Pistons comeback effort and securing a 114-111 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
The Pistons did themselves no favors in the first twelve minutes of Monday night's contest. A sleepy defensive showing resulted in 32 first quarter Raptors points on 62.5 percent shooting. Things looked bleak early for Stan Van Gundy & company, as Toronto would hold their 12 point first quarter advantage all the way to intermission.
But as has become custom of late for this new-look bunch, the Pistons stormed back in the second half. An 8-0 third quarter run brought them within striking distance, before eventually taking a lead of their own on a Brandon Jennings free throw.
