Kentucky and Florida have dominated the SEC in recent years, though their first meeting this season is a bit lackluster compared to previous showdowns.
The top-ranked Wildcats look to keep rolling Saturday night when they visit the Gators, who might need an upset victory to salvage their NCAA tournament hopes.
Neither team has finished worse than tied for second in the conference each of the past three seasons. Kentucky (22-0, 9-0), three wins shy of tying the 1953-54 team for the best start in school history, appears to be coasting to its third league title under John Calipari. It has won seven by an average of 19.5 points since opening 2015 with an overtime victory over Ole Miss and a double-overtime scare at Texas A&M.
This marks the third time in 11 meetings one of the two hasn't been ranked, with Florida (12-10, 5-4) losing four of its last six. One more SEC loss would surpass the Gators' total from the last two seasons.
