Kentucky hits ‘on all cylinders’ in romp against Auburn

Forced to stay inside due to the winter weather, Kentucky released some pent-up energy against Auburn.

Severe winter weather has blasted Lexington, Ky., causing the university to have to cancel classes all week. While it caused major problems and inconveniences for residents of the city, it also played a role against visiting on Saturday night.

Forced to stay inside due to the winter weather, the No. 1 Wildcats were looking to release some pent-up energy at Rupp Arena. And they did.

“I think the deal was we had been on snow day for the past week and we've been bored and couldn't leave our room,” sophomore forward said, “so there was a lot of built-up energy.”

That built-up energy resulted in a complete domination of visiting Auburn, as Kentucky moved to 27-0 (14-0 Southeastern Conference) with an impressive 110-75 victory.
