The nation's No. 1 point guard, De'Aaron Fox, has confirmed to CatsPause.com that he will take an official visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness the weekend of Oct. 16.
Fox (6-4, 170), who is ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2016 class by 247Sports, recently cut his list to seven: Kentucky, Arizona, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, North Carolina and N.C. State.
“I love the complete nature of his game. It's really difficult to find a weakness in it,” 247Sports Director of Scouting, Jerry Meyer said. “He shoots it well, gets to the rim, has a mid-range game and a good balance of scoring and distributing. He's good in transition and possesses qualities as far as leadership and bringing a team together.”
Playing in the Nike EYBL last travel season, Fox averaged 17.5 points, 5.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game for Houston Hoops.
Fox joins Kentucky commit Sacha Killeya-Jones as well as Harry Giles, Miles Bridges and Malik Monk as confirmed visitors for the annual star-studded event that kicks off the UK basketball season.
