The wait was a little longer than expected, but Tyrese Maxey finally came off the board in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. The former Kentucky standout was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the No. 21 overall pick.
Maxey could not contain his emotion during his interview with ESPN after being taken by the Sixers. The Texas native broke down in tears after he was asked about what he has learned from working out with fellow former Kentucky guard Rajon Rondo.
