Kentucky men's basketball coach John Calipari is teaming up with Kansas coach Bill Self and country music star Kane Brown for a charity concert in Cincinnati next month that will benefit the John McLendon Minority Leadership Initiative.
The concert will take place on Oct. 28 at Fifth Third Arena.
Its main purpose?
That would be to raise awareness and funds for the McLendon initiative, which was founded by Calipari and Harvard coach Tommy Amaker with the mission of providing minorities a jump-start to their chosen careers through experiences, opportunities to build their network and instilling McLendon's values — integrity, education, leadership and mentorship.
