Texas vs Kentucky (On time)

On This Day In UK Basketball History

On February 14, 1938, Joe Hagan’s 48-foot shot with 12 seconds left lifts the Wildcats over Marquette, 35-33. Then-Kentucky governor A.B. “Happy” Chandler sprinted onto the playing court at the final buzzer and drove a nail into the floor to mark the spot from which “Hagan’s heave” was launched.

On February 14, 2009, Jodie Meeks scored 45 points at Arkansas.
