Obituary – Campbell, Lexington Herald-Leader (October 13, 1999)

Kenton “Dutch” Campbell, 73, a University of Kentucky football and basketball player in the 1940’s, died of sudden heart failure at his home in Maitland, FL. Mr. Campbell, a 1948 U.K. graduate, came to Kentucky from Ohio on a football scholarship. He played two years of football and four years of basketball under Coach Adolph Rupp. Mr. Campbell coached basketball at Harrison County High School in Cynthiana in the mid-1950’s. He is survived by his wife, Betty Barnes Campbell; one son, Doug Campbell; two daughters, Jane Campbell and Betsy Morety; and one grandson, Robin Morety. Service were last week in Florida.
 

Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
