Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.

On This Day in UK Basketball History

On March 14, 1970, Dan Issel scores his 2,138th point, etching his name into the record book as UK’s all-time leading scorer. The top-ranked Wildcats are upset by Jacksonville, 106-100, in the NCAA Tournament.

 

On March 14, 1996, Kentucky dished 35 assists against San Jose State for the most assists ever recorded by a Kentucky team.
