For the first time in the history of the University of South Carolina men’s basketball, the Gamecocks have defeated the top team in the country. And they did it almost entirely on the back of Devan Downey. Downey, a senior guard, had 30 points and five rebounds in the Gamecocks’ stunning 68-62 win over undefeated No. 1 Kentucky.
