Heading into his senior season, what was left for Terrence Jones to do?  Jones already had two Class 5A state championships and a player of the year honor from the 2008-09 season. As one of the country’s top-rated prospects in the class of 2010, Jones had every relevant college coach chasing him with a scholarship offer.  Turns out there was something more to achieve. The little things that lead to something big, which in Jones’ case was a third state title and repeat selection as The Oregonian Class 5A player of the year.

On This Day in UK Basketball History

On April 14, 2024, Mark Pope, a captain of the University of Kentucky’s 1996 National Championship team, is introduced as Kentucky’s new head basketball coach to a crowd of more than 15,000 fans inside of Rupp Arena. Pope replaces John Calipari, who left after 15 seasons at the helm of Kentucky basketball to become the head coach at Arkansas.
