University of Kentucky freshman Terrence Jones’ powerful dunk against South Carolina on January 22, 2011 was selected as a 2011 Dunk of the Year finalist, announced today by sports television production and event marketing company Intersport. Jones’ dunk – in which he crossed over his defender to throw down a thunderous slam – will join seven other dunks in the Finals, which tip off on March 7. “Dunks of the Year” (ABC, April 2) will feature all eight finalists, reveal Finals results and announce the 2011 Dunk of the Year. Starting March 7, fans can support Jones by visiting the Dunks of the Year fan page on Facebook (www.facebook.com/dunksoftheyear), voting once a day, and sharing their vote with their Facebook friends.
