Former Duke star Christian Laettner said Thursday that his game-winning shot from the famous 1992 game against Kentucky made him a villain to UK fans. His earlier stomp of UK player Aminu Timberlake was no factor in his supposed villainy, he said. Laettner spoke on a teleconference promoting an Oct. 24 charity game in Rupp Arena pitting former UK players against a group of so-called “Villains” of the program.
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
