Anthony Davis provides defensive edge

Anthony Davis - photo by Walter Cornett | WildcatWorld.comIn ‘s 97-53 victory over Wednesday night, freshman forward walked out of Rupp Arena for his first exhibition game with eight blocks and eight rebounds.  While fans and contenders had heard about Davis’ ability to block shots, it still came as a surprise to Transy’s coaches and players. He was blocking shots at the perimeter while 10 feet away from the shooter.

John Wall became the first Wildcat ever named the overall No. 1 pick when he was selected by the Washington Wizards.  DeMarcus Cousins was selected fifth by the Sacramento Kings, Patrick Patterson went 14th to the Houston Rockets, Eric Bledsoe went 18th to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Daniel Orton was picked 29th by the Orlando Magic.
