Kentucky will be the No. 1 team in the country when they face North Carolina

Number 1UNLV stunned No.1 North Carolina 90-80 in the championship game of the Las Vegas Invitational tonight.  In the polls on Monday, North Carolina will surely drop and Kentucky will likely take the top spot in the polls.  That means Kentucky will be the No. 1 team in the country when they face St. John’s on Thursday, Dec. 1 and when they face the Tarheels on Saturday, Dec. 3.   Does North Carolina’s loss tonight help or hurt the Cats?  John Clay ponders that question.

Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
