Twany Beckham eligible to begin play for Saturday’s game versus Chattanooga

Twany Beckham - photo by Walter Cornett | WildcatWorld.com transferred to from Mississippi State after the fall semester of last year.  He started 5 of the 14 games he played in for Mississippi State. Saturday’s game against Chattanooga marks the beginning of Twany’s eligibility as a Wildcat.  Twany’s experience should help the Cats.  His size and length are a great fit according to Calipari.  Beckham was three-year starter for coach Chris Renner at Ballard High School in Louisville, Ky., where he helped pace the Bruins to a three-year composite mark of 86-16 (.843) and a pair of Sweet 16 state tournament appearances.   He averaged 16.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.3 steals per game to earn first-team all-state honors his senior year.

Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
