Wright State transfer Julius Mays has committed to play for John Calipari and the University of Kentucky, Mays told CatsPause.com Sunday evening. Mays chose the Wildcats after an official visit to Purdue over the weekend. He took an unofficial visit to Lexington last week. “I committed just a little bit ago. I told them I wanted to come play for them and they said they were excited to get to coach me. There was a lot of excitement from both sides,” Mays said. “You always want to stay in your home state but I have to do what is best for me and my family. It’s a great opportunity to play for coach Cal and be a part of something special.”
