It was an interesting week in Las Vegas for former Kentucky player Anthony Davis at the beginning of the U.S. National team camp. The future New Orleans Hornet wasn't picked for the Senior team, instead relegated to the practice squad — the Select team. Then Blake Griffin, the player who was picked over Davis, suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee, prompting Griffin to fly back to Los Angeles. The injury gave Davis a chance to join the Senior team. He got a chance to play against the Dominican Republic and his former coach John Calipari. Davis scored nine points in 10 minutes of play, which wasn't bad considering he didn't know much of Team USA's playbook.
