John Calipari told fans at Rupp Arena after the Blue-White Scrimmage that whoever put Kentucky in the top five in preseason polls needed to be drug tested. He can add the media to that list. Kentucky is ranked No. 3 to start the season in the preseason Associated Press Top 25, which was released Friday. UK checked in behind preseason No. 1 Indiana and No. 2 Louisville. Ohio State and Michigan round out the top five. Despite being the only school in a BCS conference without a player who made a single start last year, the Cats picked up two first-place votes. Indiana picked up 43 first-place votes and Louisville received the remaining 20. It’s the third time in Coach Cal’s four years at Kentucky that his team has started in the top five to start the season.
