Kentucky‘s well-stocked basketball roster is adding some home-state flavor. Point guard Dominique Hawkins, Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball and a state champion at Madison Central High School, announced at the school Wednesday morning that he’ll play his college basketball for the Wildcats.
The 6-foot-1 Hawkins averaged 20.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as a senior at Madison Central and averaged 26.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in Madison Central’s four Sweet 16 wins en route to the state tournament title.
