Former Cat Nazr Mohammed has found a home with Chicago Bulls

After playing in Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York, San Antonio, Detroit, Charlotte and Oklahoma City, Nazr Mohammed might have found his perfect home.

After Bulls practice wrapped up Friday, general manager Gar Forman had a message for veteran center Nazr Mohammed.  “Tell him to buy, not rent,” Forman said.  Replied Mohammed: “I like the sound of that.”

After playing in Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York, San Antonio, Detroit, Charlotte and Oklahoma City during his 15-year career, Mohammed, 35, might have found his perfect basketball home. It happens to be his original home as well.

The Kenwood Academy product is living in the Lake Forest area with his wife and three kids, ages 10, 7 and 3.

On December 3, 2011, freshman Anthony Davis soared to block John Henson's shot in the final seconds and No. 1 Kentucky held on to beat No. 5 North Carolina 73-72 to extend the Wildcats' home winning streak to 39 games.  Freshman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Kentucky and Doron Lamb added 12 of his 14 points after halftime in the heavily hyped matchup.
