The Washington Wizards‘ John Wall was named NBA Eastern Player of the Week today for games played Monday, Nov. 18, through Sunday, Nov. 24.
Wall led the Wizards to a 3-1 week with averages of 24.3 points (fourth in the conference), 8.5 assists (third in the conference) and 2.75 steals (fifth in the conference). He played 39.8 minutes per game. Wall posted back-to-back point-assist double-doubles to open the week in wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers. He closed the week with back-to-back 30-plus point performances in a loss to the Toronto Raptors and a win over the New York Knicks.
