Four future Kentucky Wildcats showed off their skills in the annual McDonald’s All-American game Wednesday night in the United Center.

Four future Kentucky Wildcats showed off their skills in the annual McDonald’s All-American game Wednesday night in the United Center.

Karl Towns played for the East team against Devin Booker, Tyler Ulis and Trey Lyles, who were all on the West squad. The West came out on top with a 105-102 victory.

Lyles and Booker led the way for the Cats with eight points apiece. Lyles, who last week won the Indiana state championship, also snagged eight rebounds.

Ulis, who was trending on Twitter during the game, scored five points, dished out three assists and grabbed three rebounds. Ulis put on a show early with his quickness and pass ability.

On April 14, 2024, Mark Pope, a captain of the University of Kentucky’s 1996 National Championship team, is introduced as Kentucky’s new head basketball coach to a crowd of more than 15,000 fans inside of Rupp Arena. Pope replaces John Calipari, who left after 15 seasons at the helm of Kentucky basketball to become the head coach at Arkansas.
