Kentucky overwhelms Kentucky State in exhibition, 111-58

Freshman Skal Labissiere scored 22 points to lead No. 2 to a 111-58 victory over in an exhibition game on Friday night.

Labissiere, who grabbed nine rebounds, did all his scoring in the second half and finished 9 of 12 from the field.

had 20 points for the Wildcats, while scored 15, 13 and 11. Ulis and Murray combined for 29 points in the first half.

Malcolm Smith led Kentucky State with 14 points.

It was the final exhibition game for Kentucky, which opens the season against Albany on Friday.

Kentucky paid tribute to Richmond police officer Daniel Ellis on the video board before the national anthem. Ellis died Friday at Hospital after being shot during a robbery investigation Wednesday in Richmond.
