Keith Farnsley was born Keith Wilbur Farnsley on February 11, 1918, in New Albany, Indiana to Elmer Murry Farnsley and Willow Emelyn Kercheval.

Farnsley, known as “Fuzz,” played for the Wildcats from 1938 to 1941. He was named to the All-SEC Second Team and the All-SEC Tournament Team three years in a row.

Farnsley scored a career-high 18 points against Marquette on February 3, 1940, and a career-high 7 field goals against Tulane on February 28, 1941.

Farnsley was inducted into the Army on July 18, 1941.

He was a native of Floyd County, Indiana, and a retired foreman with International Harvester for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Hobart Beach Post No. 1693 and the Bonnie Sloan American Legion.

Farnsley passed away on May 2, 1990, at the age of 72.

Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
