33 Matthew Pilgrim

Matthew Pilgrim was born on July 17, 1987, in Cincinnati, Ohio. A 6-foot-8 forward from Withrow High School, Pilgrim joined Kentucky’s 2008–09 recruiting class after transferring from Hampton. He enrolled at Kentucky but did not appear in a game for the Wildcats while redshirting during the 2008–09 season.

Prior to becoming eligible to play at Kentucky, Pilgrim transferred to Oklahoma State following a coaching decision. After receiving an NCAA waiver, he sat out the 2008–09 season before beginning his playing career with the Cowboys the following year.

Pilgrim went on to become a productive frontcourt player at Oklahoma State, earning recognition on the Big 12 All-Newcomer team during the 2009–10 season. He concluded his collegiate career after two seasons with the Cowboys, leaving Kentucky as a member of the Wildcats’ 2008–09 roster despite never appearing in an official game.
