Tony Delk, a McDonald’s All-American and Parade All-American as well as future Tennesee Mr. Basketball, verbally committed to UK on October 27, 1991. He joined an already impressive group of signees, Rodrick Rhodes of New Jersey and Jared Prickett of West Virginia. Delk would prove the best of the bunch, finishing in the top four all-time leading scorers for UK. As a sophomore Delk finished second team All-SEC. As a junior he made first team All-SEC and All-NCAA Regional. And as a senior Delk was SEC Player of the Year, NCAA Regional Most Outstanding Player and NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player.
