Lamb, a 6-4 guard from Queens, N.Y., scored 32 points in leading the Wildcats to a win over Winthrop. He went 11-of-12 from the field, making 7-of-8 3-pointers to break Kentucky‘s freshman record of 31 points set by Jamal Mashburn on Feb. 3, 1991, against Georgia. It marks the third time that Lamb has scored at least 20 points in a game this year. He set career highs for points, field goals and 3-pointers. Lamb’s seven 3-pointers are tied for the most by a Southeastern Conference player this season.
