Imme­diately.  Take a radio, a flashlight and fresh batteries.  A biblical storm is headed this way.  Bob Knight just apologized to Kentucky.  Keep in mind that the former In­diana dictator and current ESPN blowhard holds Kentucky basket­ball and head coach John Calipari in the same esteem as referees, re­porters and courtside chairs.

On This Day in UK Basketball History

On February 14, 1938, Joe Hagan’s 48-foot shot with 12 seconds left lifts the Wildcats over Marquette, 35-33. Then-Kentucky governor A.B. “Happy” Chandler sprinted onto the playing court at the final buzzer and drove a nail into the floor to mark the spot from which “Hagan’s heave” was launched.

 

On February 14, 2009, Jodie Meeks scored 45 points at Arkansas.
