This comes after he said Ryan Harrow’s decision would not affect his decision. Hmmm. From SportingNews.com: “He (Rodney Purvis) had been considering Kentucky, but he said assistant Orlando Antigua explained the Wildcats’ program needs changed after they accepted transfer Ryan Harrow—who, coincidentally, left NC State. “That’s why I took them off,” Purvis said.

On February 18, 1903, State College (Kentucky) records its first win, an 11-10 decision over Lexington YMCA. The Wildcats finished that first season with a 1-2 record.

 

On February 18, 1909, with a 28-23 win over Cincinnati, Kentucky clinched its first winning season in school history. Following a “Senior Day” loss to Central University, the Wildcats ended the year with a 5-4 record.

 

On February 18, 1950, Bill Spivey scored 40 points against Georgia Tech.
