The Detroit Pistons continued to round out their 2011-12 roster, agreeing to terms with draft picks Brandon Knight and Vernon Macklin. Knight was selected by the Pistons with the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft. As a freshman at the University of Kentucky last season, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 17.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.2 rebounds in 38 games. Knight set Kentucky freshman records for points (657), three-pointers made (87), and most 20-point games in a season (14). He earned First-Team All-SEC honors from the conference coaches, and Second Team All-SEC by the media.
