Days after voided deal, Chuck Hayes agrees to deal with Sacramento Kings again

Chuck HayesThe Sacramento Kings have agreed to a contract with forward Chuck Hayes just days after voiding a deal because of a failed physical.  Kings president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie announced the multiyear agreement Thursday night. Terms were not immediately available.  The Kings voided a $21.3 million, four-year contract with Hayes on Monday, saying he failed a physical. The team previously said a heart exam on Hayes showed an abnormality that would require further testing.

On March 16, 2002, Tayshaun Prince scored 41 points against Tulsa in the NCAA Tournament.

 

On March 16, 2003, after running the table in regular-season Southeastern Conference play, Kentucky defeats Mississippi State, 64-57, in the finals of the SEC Tournament to secure its 24th league tourney crown and complete a 19-0 season sweep of conference opponents. It marked the first time the feat had been accomplished in 51 seasons.
