Alex Poythress, Archie Goodwin named to McDonald’s All-American game

McDonalds All-americanAlex Poythress and Archie Goodwin, two UK signees in the Class of 2013, were named to the McDonald’s All-American game.  Both are considered five-star, top-20 prospects by multiple recruiting sites. They will play on opposite teams.  Their spot on the roster follows them being named to the Jordan Classic, the other notable high school all-star game. In that contest, they will play for the same team.

On November 27, 1976, with Adolph Rupp looking on from the stands, UK defeats Wisconsin, 72-64, in the new, 23,000-seat, $53 million Rupp Arena. Rick Robey scores the first goal in Rupp with 19:30 left to play in the first half.
