Anthony Davis added to Team USA roster

USA Basketball officials said following their 113-59 victory over the Dominican Republic on Thursday night that they hadn’t yet been told Griffin would be forced to pull out.  However, USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo did indicate on Thursday night in which direction the squad was leaning.  “Blake [Griffin] has to officially withdraw. When that happens, we would take the next step and add Anthony [Davis].”  Colangelo’s statement was not the only evidence that Anthony Davis will be added to the Olympic roster.  A Yahoo! Sports report said that Davis would be Griffin’s replacement on the Olympic roster. Davis was in uniform Thursday after being summoned to Las Vegas by USA Basketball earlier in the day. Davis played against a team led by John Calipari, Davis’ coach at national champion Kentucky.
