The Milwaukee Bucks have signed second-round draft pick Doron Lamb to a multi-year contract.  General manager John Hammond did not disclose terms Wednesday.  Lamb, the 42nd overall pick in the draft, is a 6-foot-4 guard who played two years at Kentucky, including last season’s national championship run. He averaged 13.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 78 career games with the Wildcats and is a 47.5 percent shooter from 3-point range.

On April 6, 2007, Billy Gillispie is named Kentucky’s new head basketball coach. He is introduced to a crowd of more than 4,000 fans at a pep rally announcing his hiring. Gillispie replaced Tubby Smith, who left after 10 seasons at the helm of Kentucky basketball to become the head coach at Minnesota.
